Thornton Lodge Day Nursery and Pre-School is a full day childcare facility catering for 49 children between the ages of 0-8 years. We are registered with Ofsted.

Thornton Lodge Day Nursery and Pre-School is situated in the picturesque village of Thornton. It serves the local community and is ideally located for Bradford, Keighley, Halifax and other surrounding areas in West Yorkshire. It is conveniently situated just off Thornton Road and is near the main bus routes from Bradford and Keighley.  


Thornton Lodge Day Nursery is set on the corner of West Lane in the heart of Thornton Village. The outdoor play areas feature a sandpit and garden area for the children to grow their own flowers and herbs. There is outdoor play apparatus and disabled access. The nursery provides a light and airy environment supported by friendly, warm, experienced and qualified staff.

We have an excellent 5 Star rating awarded by Bradford Environmental Health Inspectorate for our kitchen and the procedures we utilise. Thornton Lodge provides a well balanced diet utilising 4 weeks of menus each giving a balanced and healthy set of meals each day.

The nursery provides a home from home in a warm welcoming spacious provision where children can have fun in a stimulating child centred environment. Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage as regulated by Ofsted and provides the right balance of highly effective adult led and child initiated activities. We provide an extensive range of age appropriate equipment and activities both indoors and outdoors. Highest regard is given to the safeguarding of children with experienced qualified and vetted staff team along with CCTV and electronic entry systems.
